We are currently looking for two retail sales assistants/optical assistants to join our dedicated team at Specsavers in Stenungsund. Both positions are full-time (100%) and permanent with an immediate start or as agreed.
Our opening hours are: weekdays 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturdays 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and Sundays 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. You are expected to work according to a rotating schedule, which includes shifts on weekdays and approximately every other weekend.
Your responsibilities include:
We do not expect you to have any previous experience in optics, but it is an advantage. You will participate in a comprehensive introductory course (practical training in-store combined with digital courses) where you will learn everything about the optical industry and how we operate. After the course, you will be the expert that customers meet in our store in Stenungsund. This means that you:
- Welcome customers, explain why it is important to have an eye examination, and clarify our concept and offers
- Help customers find the right frames, lenses, and/or contact lenses – based on the optician's recommendations
- Ensure customers leave the store with a smile on their faces – and that they are eager to return
- Be an ambassador for Specsavers' goal of making better eye health accessible to all
- Are a driven and hardworking person
- Are social and have an easy time making new connections
- Have experience in service/sales, retail experience is desirable but not a requirement
- It is a plus if you have a clinical background in healthcare such as nursing assistant or registered nurse, but it is not a requirement
- Consider yourself flexible
- Are eager to learn new things, develop your skills, and grow within the role
- Strive to provide the best possible customer experience in collaboration with a team of experts
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and are enthusiastic about the opportunity to work in an innovative company whose goal is to change and develop the country's eye health
- Have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
